Tyler Cruz vs. Gyutae Park - Who’s Really Winning the Web?

by Jason Francis Hunter on January 12, 2008

TropheySo this is fun and interesting, and a great way to gain exposure. TylerCruz.com and Gyutae Park from WinningTheWeb.com both have blogs about internet marketing strategies and how to make good money by building websites and selling advertising on them.

They have decided to have a friendly duel of sorts to see whom will collect the most votes by having others create posts on why they believe one or the other should win. Thereby essentially increasing both of their subscriber and viewing numbers.

A great idea that can be replicated in many variations to achieve similar goals.

You can find out about the contest at either blog:

Who Am I Voting For?

Vote TylerWell, instead of doing extensive research and creating time-consuming excel pie charts and positive-negative tables, I’m going to keep it really simple and vote for the one I know of. As of yesterday, TylerCruz.com was in my feed reader and WinningTheWeb.com was not.

Simple as that. I’m sure Gyutae has some great insights to the world of internet marketing, and I’ll find out soon enough since I’m now subscribed, but Tyler has been on my radar for a while.

So TylerCruz.com it is.

If I had to choose some other reasons for choosing Tyler, right off the bat it would be:

  1. Tyler has a much more visually appealing site. Aesthetically pleasing surroundings are a definite weakness for me.
  2. He’s been around in the space, or at least had an online presence, for a bit longer, so, one would think he has a better understanding of the topics.
  3. He has an inspirational flash video.
  4. Numbers aren’t everything but he does have almost four times the subscriber count.

Ok, that’s enough. No more ego-coddling.

Best of luck to you both!
