Tim Ferriss - Putting His Money Where His Blog Is

by Jason Francis Hunter on March 31, 2008

Found Around the WebThis morning, Mr. 4-Hour Workweek let us all in on a little secret he’s been keep from us for over a year! His famous blog — is a sham. It’s not his famous blog, it’s Vanhishikha “Van” Mehra and Roger Espinosa’s famous blog — they just call themselves “Tim Ferriss.”

Is this a superb way of putting his ideas and concepts to work in order to show the masses how 4HWW really works, or, do you just feel lied to and cheated? I happen to think the former, but I can see many people not being able to overlook the deception.

What else is Tim faking? Is his twitter feed updated by Bob from Johannesburg? Are the videos of him just stunt doubles from Japan? Does Tim even exist? ;o)

Whatever the case may be, I never developed a direct relationship, or even a “comment” relationship with him (or whomever played him) through the blog, so I can appreciate the “Grand Illusion” for what it was meant to be. I do however, feel sorry for those that thought the comment responses where coming from him. Oh well.

Lesson learned — the internet is mysterious — hell, I could be Tim Ferriss for all you know. ;oP

Go check it out.

It’s a good book, the chapter on being unreasonable and unambiguous is particularly great.
