Supercharge Your Technorati Fanbase - Technorati Favorites Exchange
What is it and how does it work?
Inspired by Maki, this exchange will, hopefully, increase your “favorites” count in your Technorati profile.
By participating in this exchange, you make a commitment to add everyone who has added you to their Technorati favorites.
Why Participate?
Meet new people — learn new things — pump up your ego. The ultimate goal is of course, achieving placement in the top 100 list — gaining your blog increased exposure.
The Steps:
First, if you haven’t done so already, you have to sign up for a Technorati account.
Step #1:
ADD SCRIBBLES & WORDS TO YOUR TECHNORATI FAVORITES
Step #2: I will then reciprocate by adding you to my favorites. (not really a step, I suppose)
Step #3: (UPDATED) Add everyone in the comments section below to your Technorati favorites. (I realize that it may be a pain to add the huge list below, and some of the people that participated in the beginning may not be inclined to reciprocate to people just joining up. So, instead of adding everyone, I ask that you at least add the 20 people that commented before you. This may be shitty for the people at the top, but hey, you got your money’s worth, didn’t you? If you’re that upset, leave a new comment…just make sure you add the 20 above you.)
Step #4: (UPDATED) Leave a comment at the bottom of this post with your Technorati ID and a link, (alot of you have more than one blog, so to keep this a bit more organized, I ask that you give the link to ONE blog per comment) so others may add you as well.
Some of you have pointed me towards a program called “Technorati Favorite Your Fans” — it supposedly connects to Technorati, finds everyone who has fav’d you and automatically favorites them back. Sounds great, although I haven’t used it — part of the reason I started this exchange was to learn more about the community and find new “friends” so I enjoy doing this stuff manually — I get to check out your blogs as I chug along. Plus, I have a Mac and I don’t feel like using Parallels or Perl to run this program. ;o)

@Tee - It’s been done before and didn’t break the camel’s back.
The way Technorati sees it is — why would they penalize bloggers for using the system and promoting it.
However, there has been some talk about them limiting the amount you can “fav” within a certain time frame — no one seems to know what that is though.

I’d love to participate, but Technorati has a 200 limit on favorites and I’m at the limit. They keep saying they are going to fix this, but it’s still like that as of now.
