Creative Hands

Creativity comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Whether we need a quick inspirational pick-me-up to jump-start our writing, a change in our visual surroundings to motivate brush strokes, a funny anecdote to enhance that speech we’ve been stressing over, or just a moment to smile, laugh, cry, or vent - it’s the inspiration we owe it all to.

I’ve taken the time to create the mother of all lists in order to pay homage to that force that entwines all of our lives. I hope you enjoy it.

Haha, does it only stop at 40? Good list anyway even if it was only about 1% of what you advertised! I made a resources link list that went up to about 300 urls or so, and I thought “hey someone else as crazy as me!”.

I want to know how to write like a gorilla!

InvisaBlog will be (is ?) killer technology ;)

I’m not sure if using CSS wouldn’t be better, since font on image is different from those on post (at least in my env). But for Google Reader and other RSS readers image is better ;)

Anyway - fun idea ;))

I love your list. I especially love the invisablog, although I’m a little disappointed I couldn’t read 42 ways to tie my shoes.

5 Nick | Put Things Off 02.04.08 at 6:30 am

Great list! A small part of me was bracing myself and readying my submission to the Guiness Book of Records for the longest time spent scrolling down on one website.

I was rather relieved when your invisiblog sanity insurance kicked.

@NetManiac - yeah I struggled with that for a second…then I just said screw it and put it up. I wonder if there is a way to style it with css on the page and use an image for the feed? Seems complicated.

@Naomi - Here’s 17 for ya. ;o)

@James & Harrison - Thought it’d be a nice house warming gift.

@Nick & Tiara - Crazy thing is, I probably do have that many bookmarked…I’d never arrange them in a list though…that’s just nuts.

@Rudy - Sometimes I get these late night ridiculous ideas…

Thanks all.

@Jay
Well… Put image in post and use some JavaScript to check if it is ‘viewed’ in blog context and if it is - replace image with proper ‘text content’ with fade out.

Most RSS readers strip JS (at least known by me), so for them it will be image only.

Sounds simple enough. Now all I need to do is learn some JavaScript ;o)

Thanks Witold, and sorry about the spammage. I fixed it.
